About TrueAfrica – Sustainable Green Ecotourism and World Travel
TrueAfrica is a travel company based in Arusha, Tanzania, that specializes in personal, tailor-made private safaris to the best areas of Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda & Uganda. Our mission is to share the beauty of Africa with our clients. We love to take you off the beaten track, not only to the parks but also to introduce you to local people, their culture, and their ordinary way of life. We aim for a balanced mixture of wildlife, scenery, and culture, providing our guests the opportunity to experience the stunning unspoiled beaches, wide open plains, and even looking down on Africa from above in a hot air balloon or from the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Customized luxury safaris in Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda & Uganda
We feel that all these experiences give you a better understanding and appreciation of Africa. We truly believe that after you experience a safari (which means ‘travel’ in Swahili) with TrueAfrica, you will develop a life-long love of this continent.
Getting there: The nearest international airports are Kilimanjaro (JRO), Dar es Salaam (DAR), and Nairobi (JKIA). Internal flights and transfers are available throughout Kenya & Tanzania.

How to be Green – Sustainable Development by TrueAfrica
We are involved in several projects in Tanzania that help the local people and the environment. We have chosen sustainable projects (as we do not believe in just donating money) that are creating a better future for Tanzania and its people through education and commerce. We donate a percentage of our profits to these projects.
Maasai Women Art (MWA):
This project seeks to empower rural women in Tanzania by improving their access to education and their chance to generate an income. The project involves a number of womens’ groups producing and selling traditional Maasai craftwork and jewellery. MWA also runs educational programs to raise awareness about natural resource protection, HIV/AIDS and womens’ rights.

Kamitei Foundation:
This charity contributes to the education of children in rural Tanzania through community programs and individual scholarships. They currently reach thousands of children through the schools they support.

Honeyguide foundation:
The Honeyguide Foundation (HGF) is a grassroots organization based in Tanzania dedicated to supporting local communities and conservation of wildlife and natural resources through long-term community partnerships. HGF strives to ensure the conservation of this unique landscape and its wildlife, to promote global biodiversity and sustainable land use. The key is to provide communities, who are the custodians of the land and the natural resources within, with sustainable options for their livelihood by improving their economy, health, and education.
