Our impact on the local community and more

Sani lodge places a high priority on respecting families who call this place home, and respecting the natural environment, which is home to many species of wildlife. Since we are 100% owned and operated by the kichwa community of Sani Isla, this means that we provide work places for the community members and we support projects for the community in areas such as education, health, and transportation.  We are especially committed to supporting education as we sponsor English teachers for the community school and facilitate scholarships for the students to study in Quito or abroad. We are also proud of our reputation as a conservation group that cares for the environment and leads the way in preserving the Yasuní National Park. We acknowledge our social responsibility for the welfare of our 90,000 acres of primary lowland rainforest.
