EDGE of AFRICA offers you the chance to volunteer in Africa: South Africa, Zimbabwe, Cameroon and Madagascar.  Our award-winning organization will give you a life-changing experience, with all the support you need to make a real difference in the lives of local people and wildlife.

Our vast variety of wildlife, environmental, sports, medical and community projects ensures exposure to the colourful heritage, cultures and traditions these countries have to offer, with the valuable benefit of making an actual, tangible difference in the lives we touch.  Our volunteer trips last for 2-12 weeks.  Accommodations range from home-stays to camping to comfortable volunteer houses, depending on the trip you choose.

You will undergo all the necessary training you need in order to be confident in the project work.  We take your safety very seriously.  We conduct intensive safety briefings on arrival and have co-ordinators with our volunteers during project work.  We also have a code of conduct that needs to be adhered to at all times which is in place for your safety and ease of your stay.

EDGE of AFRICA develops projects that EMPOWER with the help of our dedicated volunteers.  We believe in working towards sustainability in projects and steer away from hand outs.  Instead, we assist with empowering and educating locals, giving people the opportunity to make a better life for themselves.  We do this through a variety of conservation, community up-liftment and sports development programs.
